Client: Art in Suburbia
Agency: In-house marketing
Task: Digital brand management and event planning
Art in Suburbia is a non-profit organization based in Waltham, MA whose mission is to provide art, education and awareness to suburban communities for social impact. Founded in 2017, their objectives are to provide an outlet for artistic and creative expression and exploration, foster community engagement, and promote social and sustainable development through its programs and exhibitions.
My role as a Summer Brand Management Intern was to enhance brand awareness within the digital space, as well as driving website traffic and attracting sponsorship leads. I was involved in the creation of newsletters, press releases and social media content. I had a major role in recruiting local talent and planning featured exhibitions. I helped in the launch of a crowdfunding campaign to promote women in the arts. I coordinated and scheduled meetings, managed databases and created budgets; all while ensuring that creative materials and overall messaging adhered to the brand image and voice.
Today, Art in Suburbia's LinkedIn page views has improved by 300%. Their social media posts get a 30% click through rates, and an engagement of 18%. Their crowdfunding campaign acquired three major sponsors who pledged to fund 70% of the goal. And they now enjoy a 25% brand awareness within the local artist community.
